The sunroom is surrounded with floor-to-ceiling windows, providing the perfect vantage point to sit back and watch the all the beauty that the Dandenong Ranges has to offer.

A Wassily chair. “A great find at an old antiques shop. It has that sleek and classic style that we were after for the room.”

Why wouldn’t you have a pair of stilettos mounted to your wall? Michael’s partner, Jamie has a knack for finding quirky objects. When he found these original 1970s Vivienne Westwood platform shoes, he couldn’t resist buying them. “Highlighted by the lamp below casting shadows up the wall, they are a great talking point when people come to the house.”

Michael’s favourite piece – his one hundred year old chaise lounge. “It was battered and bruised when I purchased it in London for practically nothing, but its has been reupholstered and transformed into a showpiece for the room”.

The artwork is one of Michael’s favourites, and one of his own, that he painted back on 2005. “We are both fans of bold, bright colours and nothing is bolder than fire engine red!”

“Our collection of candlesticks has grown exponentially over the last few years and has become very handy in the hills when the electricity is shut off from falling trees!”

The dining table is one of Michael’s favourite pieces. It’s a very simple design, but beautifully made from cherry veneer and brings a lot of warmth and style to a dining room.

One of Jaime’s ‘Bondage’ chairs.”Given half the chance, Jamie will wrap anything, but I have to say that it’s genius what he has done, to take old, forgotten furniture and bring it back to life and into this century.”
Hey! I could have sworn I’ve been to this blog before but after checking through some
