Room 83 – Phoebe and Chris’ living room

1-low-res2-low-res6-low-res5-low-res7-low-res8-low-res4-low-resLogo q and a final1. What’s the room and who uses it?
It’s a living room used by me, my husband, Chris, and spoodle, Billy.
2. What do you do for a crust?
I run my own home wares brand, Sage and Clare. We design and make bo-hemian and artisanal wares full of colour and texture!
3. What goes on in the room?
I work a lot from this room when I don’t need to go into the studio. Plus plenty of eating, tv watching, chatting with friends and family, playing with Billy, snoozing and enjoying the sun shining in.
4. Favourite piece in the room and why?
All the books! I have a keen interest in Indian literature and love to be surrounded by books…
5. Anything on your wish list that you would love to add to the space?
One day I would love a Ligne Roset Togo Sofa (or two!) but for now I better keep dreaming…
6. What do other people say when they see your room for the first time?
Most people walk in and immediately comment on the expansive ceilings and light in the room. We often get told that it feels like a weekend retreat.
7. Why do you love this room?
It’s quiet and calming. We have floor to ceiling windows that look out to treetops and it’s my favourite place to just sit and decompress.
8. What’s one lovely memory you have whilst being in the room?
We’ve only been here 10 months and we already have so many! I think just spending time with the people we love the most.
