The focal point of the lounge is, without doubt, Jen and Michael’s wunderkammer filled with their collection of curiosities
The woman in the photograph, taken by August Sander in 1931, is a West German radio station secretary.
A fox pelt draped over the sofa
“Bambi” – Vintage taxidermy
“Mr Chubby Chops” – Antique child mannequin c1930s
A vintage prosthetic leg from the United Kingdom sits on top the1920s wheelchair
Artwork on wall -“There’s blood on your whisper” by Jessica Tremp
Just some of the collection in the wunderkammer
German accordion c1920 and antique ventriloquist doll – “Old Butler Solomon”
Antique autopsy instruments and a collection of bones and bottles
A collection of mannequin limbs
The skull on the top shelf is a plastic replica purchased from a magic shop
I love this room so dark but close to nature. Erie but safe. Thanks for an insight in this room…… I enjoyed it

Stunning space. Original and left of centre but also has a sense of warmth and comfort. Love it.

Oh WOW! I love it, next time I am in Melbourne I’m knocking on Jen and Michael’s door! Reminded me of my visit to the medical museum in London, and also a lot of the flavours and moods from Neil Gaimen’s graphic novels and novels, and some of the accompanying artwork by Dave McKean http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_McKean . My favourite piece was the doll reclining on the window sill. Amazing room. So much effort, but I really can see it is the place for you to unwind.

What a beautiful room. Thanks so much for sharing, it makes me itch to create a better space for my vintage taxidermy tortoise passed down from an aunts estate.
